Veronica Lake was a famous American pin up model and film actress. Veronica Lake was born in Brooklyn, New York on 14th November 1922 and died on 7th July 1973 at the age of 50. Veronica Lake started her career in 1939 and she received both critical and popular acclaim. Veronica Lake was most famous in the film Noir with Alan Ladd for her role as femme fatale in 1940s. Veronica Lake was most famous for her peek a boo hairstyle.

Although Veronica Lake got success in her career but her personal life wasn’t a successful one. Veronica Lake failed to get a successful marriage, she remained and struggled with her mental illness and drug addiction and eventually she died of hepatitis.

Veronica Lake had tough life right from the beginning, her father died in a factory explosion in 1932 in Philadelphia and at the time of her father’s death, she was just ten years old. Veronica Lake’s mother married a family friend named Anthony Keane, he was a newspaper artist.

Veronica Lake studied in Montreal Canada and she was expelled from her school. Her family migrated to Miami, Florida and she studied her high school studies in Miami. Veronica Lake was quite famous for her beauty in her school.

Veronica Lake started her career after her family moved to Beverly Hills and her mother sent her in the Bliss Hayden School for acting. She appeared in her first movie in 1939.

Veronica Lake died on 7th July 1973 due to renal failure and hepatitis.
