Global Warming is indeed affecting our day to day lives. All of you, who think that the affect of Global Warming lasts in summers only, are absolutely wrong. Over the years, our planet Earth is become warmer in summers while colder in winters. Like last year, most of the countries and areas near the poles have started to receive snow fall which is resulting in icy roads.
This has not only affected the communication systems and infrastructure but also the education of school going children. Due to extreme weather conditions, almost all the schools especially in the rural areas of United States of America are closed. Analogous school closures would really affect the studies of millions of students. School authorities primarily complain about the government’s inefficiency; they have failed to employ people who can remove the snow from the roads effectively.
Schools like ‘The Lakehead District School’ announced school closure today. It has not yet mentioned the exact number of days for which the school is going to remain closed; it depends on the weather. Valley Central, Gorham Ware, Five Mile, McKenzie, Crestview, Whitefish Valley and Nor’Westerview are few of those schools which remain open despite the snow fall and icy roads.
How long are these students going to suffer? How long are they going to suffer from school closures? Is there a viable solution to this issue? How can we contribute to solve analogous problems? All these questions need to be immediately answered in order to save our future and improve our present. We hope that soon this school closure period would be over.
